   Peggy, Allen, "the daring Woman in Red," assisted the police in solving tough mysteries and fighting crime. She worked directly with the police commissioner, who was aware of her double identity.

   Peggy Allen possessed no superhuman abilities. She did carry a gun while working as the Woman in Red.

   The Woman in Red appeared in Thrilling Comics nos. 2-18, 20-22, 24-30, 34, 35, 38, & 46 and America's Best Comics nos. 1 & 2.
